The Talisman Charitable Trust

What is the Talisman Charitable Trust?

The Talisman Charitable Trust was set up in 1936 to assist individuals who are in severe financial difficulty. Through this charity grants are available for education, health, housing, disablement or disability. If you are interested in grants and loans for home improvements, you may also find this information useful.

How much money is available?

Grants vary and depend on individual circumstances and need.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Grants are made to individuals and charities in the UK that the Trustees consider to be deserving and that can be described as ‘going short’.

What are the application procedures?

The Trust prefers applications to be made through (or supported by) another charitable organisation, your local authority or the CAB. Therefore, if you wish to undertake an education or training course, and you are facing severe financial shortage, you should approach your LA, local CAB or another local charity to find out whether they will put in an application on your behalf.

Where can I find more information?
