Home Energy Scotland is a scheme available for people living in Scotland. It helps residents to cut their fuel bills and make their homes warmer.

Everyone qualifies for energy advice. You can telephone 0808 808 2282 to obtain a free home energy check. This will offer advice about how energy efficient your home is and the improvements that can be made. You can also receive advice about obtaining discounted energy rates.

Is any money available through Home Energy Scotland?

Loans of up to £15,000 are available to owner occupiers who wish to install a variety of measures such as solid wall insulation, double glazing or a new boiler.  You can use the Scottish Grants and Discounts Database to find out what is available.

Are there any other schemes to help me make my home more energy efficient?

Home Energy Efficiency Programmes enable you to get help to cut your bills and make your home warmer. You could even qualify for extra income, discounted energy rates, free or subsidised insulation or a new boiler.
